A polar bear cub at The Toronto Zoo has taken his first bath in the intensive care unit where he has been cared for by the zoo staff. The cub was born on November 9, 2013 along with two brothers who died within 48 hours. He has been looked after by zookeepers who became concerned about his fragile health. After receiving the necessary care, the cub was removed from his incubator and recently has taken his first ever bath. The zoo says the cub is now “quite active,” and will soon join the other polar bears in the Tundra Trek exhibit. Report by Andrea Lilly.
