President Obama talks about his administration’s opportunity agenda for job training, affordable access to education, and better wages in high tech manufacturing here in the United States. They are focusing on manufacturing hubs that are networks working together to build goods through suppliers, innovators, and builders. He acknowledges jobs lost to overseas competition but we’re reversing the trend to bring back manufacturing. Manufacturing helped build a middle class.
It will be interesting to see if the Trans-Pacific Partnership still goes through and how that affects industry.
