Partilha no teu site ou blog:

A Lion’s Roar can be heard for 5 miles and the sound can reach up to 114 decibels! The roar normally lasts between 30 and 60 seconds and is used as a means of communication, for instance to warn off predators (marking their territory) or to announce their availability to mate.

March For Lions! – March 15th 2014. This is a global event to raise awareness about:
Cub handling, posing with cubs for photos, petting cubs and why that is always abuse
Walking with lions (walking lions on leashes and letting people walk out into groups of sub adult lions, so the lions get used to people walking up within shooting distance)
Canned hunting (where lions are shot for a fee in cages)
Lion meat issues (all of these are connected)

We are offering a family day “march” through Big Cat Rescue to meet our lions and other wild cats for $5 to people who will take action to save lions by paw-sing at the end to be taped asking their lawmakers to “march the Big Cat & Public Safety Protection Act through Congress.” For more information about this bill go to:

This event is to help people understand the link between paying to play with a cub in this country and lions being slaughtered for their fur, bones and meat, here and in the wild.

You must pre register to attend, so please register here:
