  • 5-22-2012 Deputies seeking suspect accused of shooting woman, leaving her paralyzed

    JEFFERSON COUNTY – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Warrant division is asking for help in finding a man accused of a home invasion shooting that left a woman paralyzed.Watch KFDM News at 6 for more on the story.Brock Jimone McNeil, 33, is wanted for an Aggravated Robbery thatoccurred on December 30, 2009 in the 4400 block of Irene Street in Beaumont.Investigators say McNeil committed a home invasion robbery. When thehusband left the residence to go to the store, he was confronted by 2suspects with pistols. He was forced back into the home that wasoccupied by his wife and 2 young children. The family members were bound with duct tape, including the children. When the adults wouldn’t reveal the location of a large sum of money (0,000.00) that was hidden in the home, deputies say McNeil got a knife from the kitchen. He began stabbing the husband repeatedly in the upper leg.  The man’s wife offered to reveal the location of the money.Once they got the cash, the attackers made a comment that they would killthe family. The wife ran for the rear door in an attempt torescue her family. Investigators say McNeil shot her in the back, leaving her paralyzed.McNeil’s last known address was on Sealy in Galveston.Investigators believe he remains in the Southeast Texas area. McNeil should be considered armed and dangerous. No attemptshould be made to apprehend him. Anyone with information about him should contact Beaumont Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS.
